One of the most common stereotypes about cannabis is that they are often couch potatoes, but according to Tech Insider, one California entrepreneur hopes to change that perception.

Jim McAlpine, also known as the man behind the 420 Games, has plans to launch a cannabis-friendly gym in San Francisco with co-founder Ricky Williams, former NFL running back.

Known as Power Plant Fitness, the goal of the gym is to dismiss negative stereotypes and educate people about using cannabis as a tool for exercise, focus and recovery.”It won’t be a place to get high and just screw around,” McAlpine said  in an online announcement. “We are focused on the athletic side, not the cannabis side.”

Future gym members will be able to take a “cannabis performance assessment” to better understand how to best use cannabis in conjunction with exercises, as well as facilities that will allow for consumption or vaporization of medical marijuana on-site.

Power Plant Fitness is poised to open its doors sometime in the fall of 2016, along with a line of branded cannabis edibles and concentrates.
