California’s recreational cannabis industry continues to march on in the face of federal uncertainties and even youngsters are finding ways to cash in on the green rush, including a Girl Scout who recently got a jump start on her cookie sales outside of a San Diego marijuana dispensary.

On Jan. 31 and Feb. 2, 2018, a nine-year-old Girl Scout sold a total of 312 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from her wagon stationed near Urbn Leaf, a San Diego marijuana dispensary in the Linda Vista community, as reported by Fox 4 News.

Urbn Leaf made the budding entrepreneur feel welcome and even made a post on Instagram to let its clients know that the young girl would be selling her cookies near the dispensary.

While other Girl Scout chapters, such as Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails, prohibit sales at dispensaries, Girl Scouts San Diego has no such rule.

“They had their cart and they were walking around their community, then that is right and well within the rules,” said Alison Bushan, a spokesperson for Girl Scouts San Diego.
