On March 20, 2017, the Colorado Department of Transportation announced that it has partnered with the ridesharing company Lyft to introduce the 320 Movement, a campaign to encourage cannabis consumers to plan their rides before getting high.
DENVER, March 20, 2017 /Weed Wire/ — Next month, tens of thousands of people will gather in Civic Center Park in a celebration of cannabis culture—more affectionately known as 4/20. As marijuana users begin to plan their attendance at what is estimated to be the world’s largest 4/20 rally, CDOT has partnered with Lyft to launch the 320 Movement, a movement to plan a ride before you’re high.
Marijuana is legal to varying degrees in some parts of the country. As a result, through public-service announcements, law enforcement and departments of transportation are taking to the airwaves and billboards across the land to let drivers know they shouldn’t drive stoned.
