Recreational Legalization Gets a Hearing in New Jersey
On Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, the New Jersey Senate’s Judiciary Committee will hear testimony about whether to legalize, tax and regulate marijuana like alcohol. Toward those ends, Sen. Nicholas Scutari, chair of the committee, introduced S1896 early in the session, but the bill and a companion Assembly bill have languished in committee.
