A veterans group is opposing Arizona’s prohibition of medical marijuana on college campuses, according to a March 14, 2017, article at 12News.com. The veterans’ update on their Change.org petition, posted March 12, 2017, claims the University of Arizona campus police are “ready to lock up medical cannabis patients.”

PTSD Pot Study Seeks New Home in AZ
As was expected by the appealing parties, Dr. Susan Sisley’s appeal for reinstatement to the University of Arizona faculty was denied. The decision is final, and subject to no further review according to a letter dated July 28, 2014, from Dr. Andrew Comrie, the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost for the University of Arizona.

The United States needs to focus on the problem of treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, but the fight against PTSD suffered a setback when the University of Arizona fired Dr. Suzanne Sisley who had proposed studying the efficacy of cannabis as a PTSD treatment medication.
