Florida State Legislature Works To Implement New MMJ Law

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — After voters overwhelming approved Amendment 2, which allows for the legalization of medical marijuana, in last election it’s now up to Florida’s Legislature to figure out how to make it work.

On Tuesday, the Senate’s Health Policy Committee held a workshop where a health department official, who was one the campaign directors behind the Amendment’s passage, spoke along with the head of the state’s sheriffs association.
