On Feb. 29, 2016, the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe broke ground on a new medical marijuana dispensary near downtown Vegas, with additional plans to open a cultivation facility on the tribe’s Snow Mountain Reservation.
While each project has a price tag of $5 million, they are both expected to be completed in the next six to nine months, as reported by KTNV Channel 13 Las Vegas.
“I think we can create a unique product. I think we can also create a unique dispensary [and] a unique surrounding around that,” said Benny Tso, Paiute Tribe Chairman.
According to Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Paiute Tribe partnered with Ultra Health, a medical marijuana company with facilities in Arizona and New Mexico.
