On June 24, 2016, Maryland’s Department of Information Technology issued a Request for Proposals for a medical cannabis seed-to-sale tracking system on behalf of the Natalie M. LaPrade Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
Maryland Medical Cannabis Law stipulates that the state implement a medical cannabis product-tracking system for growers, processors and dispensaries to track inventory, as well as aiding enforcement, investigations and diversion prevention.
The RFP indicates that Maryland will select one offeror to provide the state’s seed-to-sale tracking system. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. ET on July 25; however, interested offerors can submit questions by 2 p.m. on July 18, as well as attend a pre-proposal conference on July 8 at 10 p.m.
