Medical Marijuana Sales Inching Up in Illinois

By:

On July 7, 2016, the Illinois Department of Agriculture announced that the state banked $2.57 million in retail sales for the month of June, which is a slight increase from the $2.3 million in retail sales for May.

According to the Associated Press, the sales figures don’t reflect the addition of post-traumatic stress disorder or terminal illnesses to the list of qualifying conditions.

As of July 6, the Illinois Department of Public Health had approved applications for 7,900 qualifying patients, since it began accepting applications on Sept. 2, 2014.
