On Dec. 9, 2016, the Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program announced that it logged approximately $4.4 million in retail medical marijuana sales for the month of November, a slight increase from the $4.1 million in sales for the month of October.
Of November’s $4.4 million in medical marijuana sales, dry flower accounted for $2.5 million in sales and concentrates/infused-products accounted for $1.9 million in sales.
The Illinois Department of Public Health also indicated that it had approved applications for a total of 13,200 qualifying patients, increasing the patient count by 1,200 since October.
Licensed medical marijuana dispensaries served almost 7,307 unique customers, who purchased 215,914 grams of dry flower. Illinois has banked slightly more than $32.5 million in retail sales since dispensaries opened on Nov. 9, 2015.
