Oregon Doles Out $85M in Marijuana Tax Revenue

Nearly three years after Oregon voters voted to legalize marijuana for adult use, several groups are reaping the benefits.

The Department of Revenue said that by Wednesday it will have distributed nearly $85 million in state marijuana tax revenues. That’s the sum left after deductions for start-up and administration costs — as well as separate local levies collected by the state — from $108.6 million that came in between Jan. 4, 2016, and the end of August this year.
