For years, Georgia lawmakers have debated the merits of medical marijuana and the discussion will continue this year.
On Nov. 4, 2016, the Medical Cannabis Advisory Board to the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Program voted in favor of adding “opiate use disorder” to the state’s list of conditions that qualify for medical marijuana as a treatment option.
Medical use of marijuana has been gaining legal status and popularity throughout the United States. Currently, it is most frequently known for its medicinal purposes of curbing nausea and reducing pain for those with chronic diseases, cancer or glaucoma.
