According to an announcement made by the Oregon Department of Revenue on Oct. 17, 2016, as of Sept. 30, the state of Oregon has collected $40.2 million in tax revenue this year from the legal marijuana industry, approaching the 2016 forecast of $43 million estimated by state economists earlier this year.
