ResponsibleOhio Founders Want to Start a Medical Marijuana Facility

The founders of ResponsibleOhio, the group that sought to legalize recreational marijuana through a 2015 ballot measure, want to start growing and processing medical marijuana, according to a March 8, 2017, article at Cleveland.com. Jimmy Gould and Ian James are seeking one of 12 licenses available under the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.

ResponsibleOhio Fails to Collect Enough Signatures for Ballot

As Ohioans are starting to gear up for the 2015 state election, the marijuana advocacy organization ResponsibleOhio is scrambling to collect enough signatures to qualify to be put on the ballot. Although the Ohio Secretary of State’s office calculated that the organization submitted approximately 660,190 signatures, more than twice the required amount, only 42 percent of those signatures were considered valid.
