Eaze Data Reveals Trends in California Marijuana Consumption

In 2016, Californians ordered marijuana on the Eaze platform once every 30 seconds, according to the “Eaze Insights: 2016 State of Cannabis Data Report.” That doubled 2015’s rate of an order once every minute. Eaze, an online platform for marijuana deliveries, drew its report from 250,000 platform users and a supplemental survey of 5,000 state residents.

Department of Health Names John J. Collins as Director of Pennsylvania’s Office of Medical Marijuana

HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 4, 2016 /Weed Wire/ – Secretary of Health Dr. Karen Murphy today announced that John J. Collins has been named director of the Office of Medical Marijuana. Collins, who currently works in the Department of Health’s HIV Care Section, will assume his new role on Aug. 8, 2016.

A recent survey of Minnesota’s medical marijuana patients found 90 percent said the drug was beneficial. The survey, conducted by the Minnesota Department of Health, queried 435 patients using medical marijuana. The pollsters discovered only 10 percent of medical marijuana patients experienced “little to no change.”

A new poll shows 66 percent of Utah residents want to legalize medical marijuana, according to an April 27, 2016, article in the Deseret News. The survey, conducted by Utah Policy, revealed 90 percent of the state’s Democrats, 55 percent of its Republicans, and 76 percent of its independents want to allow medical marijuana.
