“We are thrilled to finally hold auditions in California at such a great event,” said Robbins. “With voters looking to legalize recreational cannabis in November, the California market, the largest in the country and eighth largest in the world, has only just begun to show its potential.”

This season, two time-time Emmy Award-winning director Wendy Robbins, re- joins co-creator and marketing guru Karen Paull in their search for the next Marijuana Millionaire. Up to 15 entrepreneurs and four accredited investors and mentors will be chosen to participate in an intense, three-day Bud Camp, where attendees will be coached to pitch to a panel of accredited investors. Those selected by panelists will receive financing and mentorship and may be the cannabis industry’s next big idea.

“After witnessing The Marijuana Show bring so much success to the businesses of season one and two, we could not wait to begin season three’s auditions,” co- creator Paull said. “Capping out at $20 million in investment capital, this season’s level of competition will far surpass those that came before and set a new bar for our contestants.”

Additionally, The Marijuana Show will continue to leverage its relationship with the hundreds of cannabis businesses seeking funding by introducing High Finance Fund, a $50 million private equity fund set to launch in August 2016.

“As co-creators and producers of The Marijuana Show, we have met so many inspirational business leaders who simply lack access to proper funding,” said Robbins. “High Finance Fund is designed to provide additional funding opportunities to our contestants. We also want to focus on the underserved communities of women and minority-owned cannabis businesses focusing on real estate, leasing, cultivation, biotech, app development, technology, financial and infrastructure companies.

Robbins and Paull will attend this year’s Southern California Cannabis Conference & Expo at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 6th & 7. To schedule an interview, please contact Paige Janulewicz, The Rosen Group, 720 670 0190 or [email protected].
