Dale Sky Jones, the Executive Chancellor of Oaksterdam University, will be joining the California Cannabis Business Expo in San Francisco this March to discuss how to mitigate your business risk through advocacy, as well as Oaksterdam Certification Training.
In the risk session, Jones will discuss the values of the cannabis law reform movement in the context of California’s new Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act and the proposed Adult Use of Marijuana Act so that participants will have a clear understanding of their duties as conscious capitalists engaged in building a cannabis industry that benefits their own bottom line as well as society.
In the Oaksterdam Certification Training, several important issues related to startup cultivation will be studied, including Legal 101, Legal Business Structures, Horticulture 101 and Equipment Lab. After your certification you will also have full access to educational sessions, the exhibit hall and a special interview with Ed Rosenthal. Early bird Saturday passes to this training are still available.
The sessions led by Jones will be informed by her role as a cannabis pioneer focused on igniting the debate for cannabis policy reform throughout the country. She was the spokeswoman and legislative liaison for the Proposition 19 Campaign in California. She is the Chairwoman of the Board for the Coalition for Cannabis Policy Reform. She serves on the Boards of Directors for the Californians to Regulate Medical Marijuana and National Cannabis Industry Association. Named by Marie Claire as one of the most influential women in the industry, Jones has a voice in setting national priorities and is an expert commentator on current cannabis events.
Oaksterdam University is the original cannabis institution providing the highest quality of training and education for the cannabis industry. Oaksterdam has played a vital role in reinvigorating Oakland and acts as a hub for cannabis activism around the world. The California Cannabis Business Expo follows MJIC Media’s inaugural event, the Marijuana Investor Summit in Denver in April 2014, which drew more than 1,000 people and 100 exhibitors.
