On March 3, 2016, Zep Again and House of Floyd will share the stage in the Grand Ballroom following The Great Marijuana Debate, moderated by ProCon.org, kicking off the three-day Marijuana Investor Summit in San Francisco. Rumor has it the host of the evening is a celebrity who has some direct ties to the cannabis industry after a lot of growing pains before he got there, we shall see!
ProCon.org will also be co-sponsoring this VIP post-debate event, which is free to all attendees of the summit. Donations and proceeds from the VIP event from this event will go to benefit the ProCon.org marijuana initiatives.
“Because this is an investor conference we believe that Procon.org represents a huge benefit to attendees who tend to be largely in favor of marijuana legalization,” said David Friedman, CEO of MJIC Inc., parent company of the summit.
“Investors need to understand the risks that are associated with investing in this space. We partnered with ProCon.org to help bring that to the forefront of the discussion,” stated Randy Shipley, Chief Revenue Officer of MJIC and the Summit organizer.
This is the second Marijuana Investor Summit, following the premier event in Denver in April of 2014, which drew more than 1,000 people and 100 exhibitors. Many were “Wall Street” types peeking in on something they recognize is inevitable yet can’t quite get past the optics associated with the industry.
“This industry is beginning to change the country and it’s serious business, but life has gotten too serious so this event serves to balance that with some fun,” Shipley said.
Tickets to the Marijuana Investor Summit in San Francisco can be purchased online.
