Doug Francis Replaces Justin Hartfield as CEO of Weedmaps

On Feb. 23, 2016, Weedmaps, an online community connecting users to marijuana dispensaries, announced that Doug Francis had replaced Justin Hartfield as CEO of the company, with Hartfield now acting as board chairman for Weedmaps’ family of companies, including

“Doug and I have achieved many of the goals we initially set out to accomplish when we launched Weedmaps eight years ago,” Hartfield said. “I look forward to supporting Doug’s leadership and accomplishing our next set of goals together.”

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Francis had been COO of Weedmaps since 2009. As CEO, he will oversee the company’s growth strategy, expansion of new product offerings and software solutions, as well as the deployment of a global tech team in the United States, Canada and Europe.
