“Brain Games” host Jason Silva and Brookings analyst and author John Hudak to address group; Promising Cannabis Companies to Pitch Investors in ‘Shark-Tank’ Style Format
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12, 2016 /Weed Wire/ — More than 200 high net-worth investors from around the world will gather in Los Angeles, CA at the Arcview Investor Forum next week to hear pitches from dozens of promising cannabis companies in a “Shark Tank” like forum. The Arcview Investor Network includes more than 600 accredited investor members who have put more than $91 million behind 135 cannabis-related companies.
Taking place at Loews Hollywood Hotel for two days of pitches beginning Tuesday, January 17th and Wednesday, January 18th, high net worth investors will be reviewing pitches from dozens of companies who competed fiercely for the slots from an initial field of hundreds of applicants. John Hudak, policy expert with the Brookings Institution and author of the new book Marijuana: A Short History, will deliver a keynote speech. Filmmaker, philosopher, and host of National Geographic’s “Brain Games” Jason Silva will also be addressing this highly concentrated group of industry leaders.
In addition, the Executive Summary of the 5th edition of The State of Legal Marijuana Markets will be released at the event, along with never before seen market projections and analysis.
