On Feb. 3, 2016, Etain LLC, a family-run business and one of the five licensed medical marijuana providers in New York, will open another dispensary in the state.
This latest dispensary, Etain’s third, is located in Syracuse, but it is also situated to serve patients in surrounding areas such as Utica. The company’s other dispensaries are located in Albany and Kingston, with plans for a location in Yonkers as well.
In anticipation of the opening, Syracuse.com released a sneak peek of the new location on Feb. 2, including an informative message from Hillary Peckham, Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Etain.
According to Etain’s website, the dispensary in Syracuse will carry all of Etain’s current products: Dolce, a high-CBD formulation; Balance, an equal CBD-THC formulation; and Forte, a high-THC formulation.
While Etain is rolling out this latest location, the New York State Medical Marijuana Program reported on Feb. 2 that only 551 patients have been certified by registered physicians within the state, meaning the laws of supply and demand are currently playing out in an extremely limited pool of patients.
