Mary Jane Wines was created to provide an alternate avenue of consumption for the medicinal and healing properties of the cannabis plant. The company is determined to change the landscape of both the cannabis and wine industries by pairing some of the world’s best cannabis with the world’s best winemakers. In doing so, Mary Jane Wines hopes to continue research into understanding the medicinal values of the plant while developing a world-class wine. The company is currently producing a medicinal version for Fog City Collective, a non-profit, 21 and up, members-only medical marijuana collective based in San Francisco.
Competitors: Mary Jane Wines doesn’t currently have any direct competition, but there are other non-alcoholic cannabis-infused beverages on the market.
Competitive Advantage: Mary Jane Wines has cultivated a strong following for its brand, a task which often takes years for other companies to develop. This strength helps Mary Jane Wines stand out in the market of cannabis-infused beverages.
Sales/Marketing Strategy: The two main methods in which Mary Jane Wines markets itself is through Fog City Collective, Instagram and word of mouth.
Customers: Members of the Fog City Collective, as well as select medical marijuana patients, are able to get Mary Jane Wines in California. The company hopes to expand into wider markets in the coming future.
Target Market: 21-35 year old adults with an appreciation for artisanal products and 40-60 year old adults that have an inherent appreciation for wine.
Products: Mary Jane Wines, Mary Jane Wines Jerky and Mary Jane Beer.
Customer Problem: The gray legality surrounding cannabis-infused wine. If not for that, the company would enjoy a much larger following and share of the consumable cannabis market.
Paul Kapral, Owner, is a self-described “one man show” with more than a decade of experience in cannabis cultivation. He is a passionate business owner and entrepreneur based in San Francisco who is committed to developing Mary Jane Wines into a national brand, while providing members of Fog City Collective with premium medicine at affordable prices.
