With the Oregon Liquor Control Commission recently greenlighting one of the state’s first marijuana delivery services, Oregon’s retail marijuana industry is preparing to cover new ground.

On Jan. 30, 2017, Cannabend, a medical and recreational dispensary in Bend, Oregon, announced that it had been approved by the OLCC to commence home delivery of marijuana within the city of Bend.

Even though the Oregon Administrative Rules for Recreational Marijuana stipulate that a delivery driver can’t travel with more than $3,000 worth of marijuana at a time, Cannabend is prioritizing safety by using an unmarked vehicle to make deliveries.

“It ensures privacy of the customer so when you drive up to their house, the whole neighborhood isn’t going to see a Cannabend car,” said Fernando Teson, Cannabend Shift Manager, to KTVZ.
