Cannabis stocks were pretty quiet today. A few announcements came out about companies looking to expand their product lines. We encourage companies to adapt and respond to market demands, but always watch for “me too” or trend hopping.

There’s “Big Coal” and “Big Tobacco;” there’s “Big Oil,” and with the dominoes of cannabis prohibition tumbling, “Big Pot” rises.

One of those organizations looking to fill that gap is the National Cannabis Industry Association. Founded in 2010 by Aaron Smith and Steve Fox, the NCIA is the first trade organization of its kind.
