SACRAMENTO, Calif., March 11, 2017 /Weed Wire/ — The City of Sacramento will start accepting applications for non-residential marijuana cultivation on April 3rd after the City Council lifted the temporary moratorium on cultivation, and approved the remaining components of its cultivation regulations at the March 7th meeting.
On April 8, 2016, a lawsuit challenging Detroit’s new medical marijuana laws was dropped by the group of medical marijuana dispensaries that had filed the case. Under the new rules, medical marijuana dispensaries are barred from operating within 1,000 feet of a school, park, church or day care.
On Feb. 9, 2016, the Anchorage Assembly met to discuss municipal regulations for legalized recreational cannabis businesses.
On Jan. 11, 2016, the Seattle City Council voted to relax the buffer zones around marijuana businesses in the city.
The Seattle City Council may change its marijuana zoning regulations to accommodate a potential increase of retail stores within the city’s limits.
