In a more minor part of legislative debates on medical marijuana, the [Utah] Senate passed SCR11 on Tuesday calling for Congress to reclassify marijuana to allow more research into its possible medical uses.
The first of two competing medical marijuana bills passed the Utah State Senate on Monday morning. Senate Bill 89, sponsored by Sen. Evan Vickers, R-Cedar City, was passed by an 18-8 vote, and will now move on to the Utah House of Representatives.
