DEA Approves Study of Smoked Marijuana For Treatment of PTSD
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency has given the green light to a clinical study of smoked marijuana’s effectiveness for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in veterans, according to the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. Seventy-six U.S. veterans will participate in the study.
Arizona Axes Medical Marijuana Doctor
The United States needs to focus on the problem of treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, but the fight against PTSD suffered a setback when the University of Arizona fired Dr. Suzanne Sisley who had proposed studying the efficacy of cannabis as a PTSD treatment medication.
