On Feb. 12, 2016, Tweed Inc., a subsidiary of Canopy Growth Corporation (TSXV: CGC), announced a partnership with Snoop Dogg to customize brand strategy and curated content exclusively for its Canadian market.
“Today we’re announcing our partnership and welcoming [Snoop Dogg] to one of Canada’s most exciting industries,” said Mark Zekulin, Tweed’s President.
“There are real social and medical benefits from the cannabis industry—and the world is seeing this positivity in a whole new way,” Snoop Dogg said. “Canada has been at the forefront of the business model, and I look forward to being a part of the road ahead.”
According to the announcement, the specifics of the partnership will be revealed over the coming months.
Snoop Dogg’s partnership with Tweed adds to the celebrity’s growing list of legal marijuana ventures, including his Leafs by Snoop cannabis brand in Colorado and his marijuana website Merry Jane, among others.
