San Felasco Nurseries Awarded Florida’s Sixth Medical Marijuana License

San Felasco

On April 4, 2016, the Florida Department of Health approved San Felasco Nurseries as a medical marijuana dispensing organization. This will make San Felasco the sixth licensed dispensing organization in the state of Florida and the first to obtain a license under a new law recently signed by Gov. Rick Scott.

In February, San Felasco won an administrative ruling in which a judge found that the nursery’s application was wrongly rejected; and under the new law, applicants that win such cases can be awarded a license.

According to Florida Politics, San Felasco has until 5 p.m. on April 18, 2016, to post a $5 million performance bond. The nursery will also have 75 days to request authorization to cultivate. After receiving authorization, San Felasco would have 210 days to produce a product ready for distribution.
